Ingredients

  • 1  cup chopped onions
  • 1  cup chopped celery
  • 1/2  cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 2  links sausage (6 oz.), casings removed, cut up
  • 1  (8-oz.) pkg. (3 cups) cornbread stuffing mix
  • 1/3  cup chopped pecans, toasted*
  • 1/4  cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1  teaspoon dried sage leaves
  • 1  teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1  (14 1/2-oz.) can ready-to-serve chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon tabasco sauce

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 325°F. Spray large nonstick ovenproof skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Heat over medium heat until hot. Add onions, celery, bell pepper and sausage; cook and stir 3 to 5 minutes or until sausage is no longer pink and vegetables are tender.

  2. Add stuffing mix, pecans, parsley, sage, tabasco and thyme to sausage mixture; mix well. Gradually stir in broth to moisten.

  3. Bake, uncovered, at 325°F. with turkey during last 20 minutes of roasting.
