Use Jimmy Dean Hot sausage. It has very little grease.

cooking before definitely helps cut down on them being too greasy. Have been doing that for years.

One of our favorites, especially during the cold weather months. We actually do cook the sausage beforehand and it turns out wonderfully with lots less grease. We actually made them once how the recipe states and thought they were terribly greasy...

Four cups would be 32 ounces for a liquid (volume). However, for a solid, the sixteen ounces is a weight. So if you shred 16 oz. Of cheese, the volume should equal four cups.

    Wouldn't 4 cups be 32 ounces? (1 Cups (US) = 7.99765121 Fluid Ounces) 16 oz. =2 cups.

These are great! If I am cooking just for me, whatever I don't need, I put them in the freezer. Then whenever I want some, I get out a few and cook them.

Delicious. Instead of parsley and rosemary, I seasoned them with a packet of ranch dressing mix, and everyone loved them.

You don't have to cook the sausage beforehand. It should cook through during the baking process.

Hmm, maybe a silly question..but do you cook the sausage before? I realize it doesn't say you do, or don't so I was just wondering. Thanks!

The whole team here at General Mills raves about these all the time. They are a go-to favorite for about a dozen of us whenever we're hosting parties.
