These elegant "burgers" are packed with flavor. Serve them as is, or use the mixture to fill pita pockets or sandwich rolls.

Ingredients

3
cans (5 to 7 oz each) salmon or tuna, drained, flaked
1
medium onion, finely chopped (1/2 cup)
2
tablespoons lemon juice
1
teaspoon chopped fresh or 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves
1/2
teaspoon salt
1/2
teaspoon ground mustard
2
slices bread, torn into crumbs (1 1/3 cups)
2
eggs, beaten
1
tablespoon vegetable oil
1
cup Old El Paso™ salsa (any variety)

Directions

  • 1 Mix all ingredients except oil and salsa. Shape mixture into 8 patties.
  • 2 Heat oil in 10-inch skillet over medium heat. Cook patties in oil about 8 minutes, turning once, until golden brown.
Tips

Stock up on canned tuna and salmon when they're on sale. You'll always have a base for quick salads or sandwich fillings, not to mention these yummy fish patties.

Use two cans of salmon and one can of tuna (or two of tuna and one of salmon) for Seafood Medley Patties.
