Ingredients

  • 1  package Betty Crocker® hash brown potatoes
  • 4  cups very hot water
  • 1 1/2  teaspoons salt
  • 1  tablespoon margarine, butter or spread,* melted
  • 1/4  teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1  ready-to-serve pizza crust (12 to 14 inches in diameter)
  • 1  can (4 ounces) mushroom pieces and stems, drained
  • 2  cups shredded mozzarella cheese (8 ounces)
  • 1  medium tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1  teaspoon dried rosemary or other herb of choice

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 425º. Cover potatoes with very hot water in 2 1/2-quart bowl; stir in salt. Let stand uncovered 5 to 8 minutes; drain thoroughly. Stir together margarine and garlic powder. Place pizza crust on ungreased cookie sheet or pizza pan; drizzle with margarine mixture. Stir together potatoes, mushrooms and 1 cup of the cheese; spread on pizza crust. Place tomato on top; sprinkle with rosemary and remaining cheese. Bake about 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and top is golden brown.
