Enjoy this classic condiment that's made using shrimp and marinara sauce - a perfect Italian accompaniment to your pasta dish. Ready in 15 minutes.

Ingredients

1
(15-oz.) container refrigerated marinara sauce
2
tablespoons dry red wine
1 1/2
cups frozen shelled deveined cooked medium shrimp (without tails)
1/4
cup sliced green onions
1/8
teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Directions

  • 1 In medium saucepan, combine all ingredients; mix well.
  • 2 Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook 4 to 6 minutes or until shrimp are thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally. Serve over hot cooked pasta.
Tips

Marinara is a classic Italian meatless tomato sauce flavored with onions, garlic and oregano. Look for marinara sauce next to the refrigerated pasta.

Serve this dish with a spinach salad purchased from the produce department, and a crisp baguette from the bakery.
