Apple cobbler is easier to make than ever with a little help from the slow cooker and Betty Crocker™ SuperMoist™ cake mix!

Ingredients

6
cups sliced peeled apples
1/2
cup sugar
3/4
teaspoon ground cinnamon
1
box Betty Crocker™ SuperMoist™ yellow cake mix (dry)
1/2
cup cold butter, cut into cubes
Whipped cream, if desired

Directions

  • 1 Spray large slow cooker with cooking spray. Add apple slices, sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of the cinnamon; toss.
  • 2 In large bowl, mix dry cake mix and remaining 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Cut in butter with pastry blender or two knives until size of small peas. Dump on top of apple mixture.
  • 3 Cover; cook on High heat setting 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until fruit is bubbling and cobbler topping is light golden brown. Serve immediately with whipped cream.
Tips

Apples best for baking are Gala, Granny Smith, Jonathan and Jonagold.

Slow cookers vary from brand to brand. Check on cobbler at 2 hours.
