The easiest and best way to bake a potato is in your slow cooker. Coat the potato in olive oil and sea salt, cover in aluminum foil and cook. The result: a fluffy flesh with the best skin ever.

    Ingredients

    • 6 whole baking potatoes
    • 6 teaspoons olive oil
    • 6 teaspoons sea salt
    • 6 pieces aluminum foil

    Directions

    1. 1Wash the potatoes well and dry.
    2. 2Coat potato with one teaspoon olive oil and rub into the potato skin.
    3. 3Sprinkle the potato with one teaspoon sea salt.
    4. 4Wrap the potato tightly in aluminum foil.
    5. 5Repeat with all of the potatoes.
    6. 6Place the potatoes in the slow cooker. Cook on HIGH for 6 hours.
    7. 7Cool slightly and serve however you like to eat your baked potatoes.

    Hi all - Yes, the potatoes should be pricked. The moisture inside the potato creates steam which causes pressure to build up inside of the potato. There is a risk that they could burst. Additionally, it is not necessary to put water in the bottom of the slow cooker. Enjoy!
