Mix up six ingredients in the slow cooker, and you’ll have a simple main dish for eight.

Ingredients

lb hot dogs, each cut into 4 pieces

cans (15 oz each) pork and beans in tomato sauce, undrained

cup ketchup

cup finely chopped onion (1/2 medium)

Directions

  • 1 In 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker, mix ingredients.
  • 2 Cover; cook on Low heat setting 5 to 6 hours.
Tips  

Bratwurst or Polish sausages can be used in place of the hot dogs in this recipe. Cut them into thick slices. Enjoy this stew with cornbread.
