    Ingredients

    • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
    • 3/4 cup sliced celery
    • 1 white onion, diced finely (about 1 cup)
    • 2 (14.5 ounce) cans cream of chicken soup
    • 1/4 teaspoon celery seed
    • 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1 (16.3 ounce) can Pillsbury Grands buttermilk biscuits
    • 1 (12 ounce) bag Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers

    Directions

    1. 1Spray a 4-6 quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Add the cubed chicken to the slow cooker and top with the celery and onion.
    2. 2Sprinkle celery and onion with celery seed, poultry seasoning, and pepper. Pour the cream of chicken soup over the vegetables and cook on low for 4 hours.
    3. 3After 4 hours or when chicken is done, stir in the frozen vegetables and cook for an additional 30 minutes or until vegetables are heated through.
    4. 4While vegetables are cooking, preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake biscuits for 13-15 minutes.
    5. 5To serve, spoon some chicken filling on a plate or bowl and top with a biscuit that has been split in half.

Delicious! I used Jiffy cornbread muffins, and my daughter crumbled hers into the dish and loved it. Even the leftovers were great... so simple, the best.

You're not an idiot, @Anonymous. Following the directions carefully is definitely your best bet but we'll be sure to take your suggestion into consideration when writing out steps in the future. :)

I think I'm an idiot, but I'm having a xxxx of a time deciding whether I need to cut my condensed soup (Campbell's) with water to actually make it "Cream of Chicken Soup" vs "Cream of Chicken Soup (concentrate/condensed)," (which is what it is now). I'm gonna just pour this can of thickness straight on top and hope it pans out. I see the bit from earlier about pouring it on with no milk, that's why I'm leaning this way. My 2 cents to firm up the directions (for idiots like me) is to indicate something about just using condensed/concentrate which is how Campbell's rolls, or if "No, you should have bought a different brand where it's already at the proper concentration."Too much text, I know. Thanks for sharing your recipe, really, I don't want to sound like a jerky critic, I'm a xxxxxx cook and I'm legitimately in my kitchen right now debating how to proceed. 65/35 in favor of pouring the concentrate on... the ayes have it.

Did you add milk to the soups and then pour in, or just added the condensed soup?

I have made this for several years for my family I make it as a pie though. All you need to make a pie is a deep dish crust by Pillsbury (preferred) and one of the roll out ones. Cook the chicken cubes first then put all the ingredients in the deep dish crust and cover with the roll out one and cut 4 slits in the top & bake. I also add small diced potatoes in mine as well. The family will love it & it's a quick clean up.

@shilohcp, I wasn't giving you attitude. Sorry if it was taken that way. I know that the mobile version had some issues with Firefox and was wondering if it was resolved yet.

What a hit! Like FreedSpirit my boyfriend as well likes the Crust of a Pot Pie so I took her idea, using the crescent rolls along with a few others such as adding potatoes and using one can cream of chicken and one can cream of mushroom. My family loved it and not only was it wonderfully tastey it was Super fast and easy! Great recipe!

This is better than any CPP I've ever had. I added some diced potatoes and used cream of chicken/cream of mushroom for one of the cans of soup. Making it for the second time and can't wait to eat it ... Yum yum

My boyfriend takes issue with pot pies with no bottom crust. Lol. So I made the filling in the crock pot, as directed. Then I rolled out a bottom crust using crescent roll dough, put it in a pie plate and baked for 5 minutes at the temperature indicated on the package. I poured the filling in, then rolled out a top crust using a second can of crescent roll dough, put it on top, and cooked according to the crescent roll dough package directions (I think it ended up being 14 minutes, IIRC). It turned out great! I also had some leftover filling, so I am going to make some biscuits and take them to work for lunch, serving as directed in the original recipe. Thanks so much for posting this! :)

you should reword directions 2 when you say sprinkle vegetables. you should say sprinkle onions and celery because it gets confusing when you also have the frozen vegetables. I ended up putting the frozen vegetables in a separate pan and putt the seasonings on them and putt the cream of chicken soup in and cooked it on low heat it wasn't until later I realized it didn't make sense in 3. when you say to add the frozen vegetables.
