Slow Cooker Spicy Creamed Corn

As prepared by Bev Cooks

I could eat this Slow Cooker Creamed Corn forever. I think I just will.

Creaaaaaaamed corn. MAN I don't think there's anything more comforting and classic for the mouth to experience than creamed corn. Am I right or am I right.

My memaw used to make creamed corn like 27 times a day when I was but a ripe lassie. It was my absolute favorite thing in the world. I used to beg her to make enough of fill a bathtub so that I could take a creamed corn bath. She would just stare at me. And walk away.

SO TODAAAAY, instead of a bathtub (which you could and should always opt for), we're filling a slow cooker with five quickie ingredients, lettin' it cook for 2-ish hours, and gonna drop kick our mouth into the next millennium.

Let's dew it!

Ingredients for creamed corn recipe.

Grab some frozen corn, a creamy roasted garlic recipe starter, some cheese, taco seasoning, and a jalapeno pepper!

Put creamed corn ingredients into a slow cooker.

Okay now dump it all into a small slow cooker! But first, sliced up that pepper and throw half of it in, and save the rest for garnish. Some seeds will fall out when you slice them, but make sure to get a few of them into the corn. It's the law.

Cook the corn in the slow cooker a couple hours.

So this is about 2 hours later. UGH. You don't even know. Just stick your head in that.

Transfer to a serving bowl (or your face), garnish with the peppers, and watch your guests pass out immediately.

But first let's just get up in this a little more. Yes. Yes.

Warm, creamy, cheesy, seasoned. You know what. Just fill up that bathtub.

Sensational Sides

Wondering what to snuggle up to that Tom Turkey on the table? Here are a few comforting cuddlers:

* When I made this, I combined it with steamed broccoli and seared chicken sausages. I've not quite recovered. For more musings, vista her blog Bev Cooks and her Tablespoon profile.
