@Magcarrino I used really lean turkey sausage, so mine wasn't greasy. But cooking/draining the meat beforehand can definitely help cut down on that in general. Thanks for giving it a try! :)

made this today and through the meat in raw in the morning. it made for a very greasy soup. if i make this again, i'll cook the meat beforehand and drain the grease off. Also, i used italian flavored diced tomatoes in addition to the seasonings and felt the soup was still a bit watery/bland. i'll add more noodles next time or use a homemade chicken broth rather than a store bought (I used the Knorr Stock packets).

So good! I changed the meat to mild italian sausage and the added fresh shaved Parmesan cheese along with the ricotta. I LOVE this recipe!

Made this tonight. I used marinara instead of soup starter, just like I would for traditional lasagna. I didn't cook the turkey but I broke it up into small pieces. I also didn't use onions or garlic, I cheated and used granulated for both. For those who are wondering, mine was in the crock pot 12 hours before we ate it, and it was amazing. I'm going to end this review so I can eat dinner...it should be cooled enough to finish now! This recipe is a total keeper!!!!

I've never heard of recipe starters tomato sauce. Is it something very specific or can I just use regular tomato sauce?

I want to try this tomorrow, but I have to go to the store first. And my family isn't big on turkey sausage, so I'll just used mild Italian sausage.

Can not wait to try this. How easy and great for the cold weather. Nothing like hot soup for lunch or even for dinner after a long day.
