Do you want to try a tangy Asian condiment? Then enjoy this slow cooked tomato chutney with crackers.

Ingredients

3
cans (14.5 oz each) fireroasted diced tomatoes with garlic, undrained
2
cups chopped onions (2 large)
3
tablespoons chopped seeded jalapeño chiles
1/2
cup golden raisins
1/2
cup raisins
1
cup cider vinegar
2/3
cup packed brown sugar
1
teaspoon curry powder
1/2
teaspoon salt
Assorted crackers, if desired

Directions

  • 1 Spray 2 1/2- to 3 1/2-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In slow cooker, stir together all ingredients except crackers.
  • 2 Cook uncovered on High heat setting 6 hours or until thickened.
Tips

While it's unusual to leave the slow cooker uncovered, that’s what allows the chutney to thicken.
