Because these Southern Fried Chicken Tacos are pretty much gonna become your new favorite “go to” taco.
Why? Well, the Southern fried chicken! Duh! It's perfectly crunchy, slightly spicy and all kinds of delicious.
So it only made sense to take that delicious chicken and make it into an even better taco. You see, with these tacos you don’t just get the chicken, you get all the taco toppings, too... meaning guacamole and cheese!
You could even throw in a little salsa if you want. Yes, that would be equally awesome.
Just gather your ingredients.
Heat the oil to 350ºF in a deep, heavy-bottomed pot. Don't fill the pot more than half full with oil.
Season the chicken with seasoned salt. Next, add flour to a shallow bowl or pie plate.
In a medium bowl, beat the eggs and hot sauce together.
Now dip the seasoned chicken in the egg mixture.
Then coat well in the flour.
Place the chicken in the preheated oil and fry it until brown and crisp, about 6-8 minutes. Drain on a paper towel-lined cookie sheet.
Once cool enough to handle, slice the chicken into strips.
Warm the tortillas and fill with chicken. Top with cheese and guacamole.
