Salsa tomatoes add the sizzle to this spicy soup. Look for them in the Mexican food section of the supermarket.

Ingredients

1/2
lb. fresh ground turkey breast
1
(15.5-oz.) can Light or Dark Red Kidney Beans, drained, rinsed
1
(14.5-oz.) can salsa tomatoes diced with green chiles*
1
(8-oz.) can tomato sauce
4
cups water
3
teaspoons beef-flavor instant bouillon
1/2
teaspoon chili powder
1/4
teaspoon cumin

Directions

  • 1 In large saucepan, brown ground turkey. Add all remaining ingredients; mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Tips

* If desired, Mexican stewed tomatoes or any spicy tomatoes can be substituted for the salsa tomatoes.
