Enjoy this hot and spiced café latte that’s ready in just 10 minutes! Perfect if you love Italian cuisine.

Ingredients

1/2
cup ground Italian-roast coffee
1
teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2
teaspoon ground allspice
1/4
teaspoon ground cinnamon
Dash ground cloves
3
cups water
1/2
cup vanilla-flavored fat-free soymilk
4
tablespoons reduced-fat whipped cream topping in aerosol can
4
cinnamon sticks (3 inch), if desired

Directions

  • 1 In coffee filter or basket of 8- to 12-cup coffeemaker, place ground coffee, nutmeg, allspice, ground cinnamon and cloves. Add 3 cups water to coffeemaker; brew according to manufacturer's directions.
  • 2 In microwavable measuring cup, microwave soymilk uncovered on High about 30 seconds or until warm. Add warmed milk to brewed coffee in coffeepot; stir.
  • 3 Pour into mugs. Top each with 1 tablespoon of the whipped cream topping. Garnish with cinnamon sticks. Serve immediately.
Tips

Make your own version of latte at home and get the heart-health benefits of soymilk at the same time. This spiced-up coffee is very flavorful --you can also use decaf coffee, which is especially nice right before bed.
