Old El Paso™ salsa provides a flavorful addition to this spicy chili made using turkey and pinto beans - a perfect hearty dinner.

Ingredients

1
tablespoon vegetable oil
1
lb ground turkey breast
1
large poblano chile, seeded, finely chopped
2
cups water
1
teaspoon chipotle chile powder
2
cans (15 to 16 oz each) pinto beans, drained, rinsed
1
jar (16 oz) Old El Paso™ Thick 'n Chunky mild salsa
Shredded Cheddar cheese, if desired

Directions

  • 1 In 2-quart saucepan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Cook turkey and poblano chile in oil 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until turkey is no longer pink; drain if necessary.
  • 2 Stir in water, chile powder, beans and salsa. Cover; heat to boiling. Cook until thoroughly heated. Mash beans lightly with potato masher until soup is slightly thickened. Sprinkle individual servings with cheese.
Tips

The robust chili is delicious paired with warm corn muffins, made from a pouch of Betty Crocker™ cornbread & muffin mix.
