These Strawberry Basil Mojitos are the perfect summer drink. Cool and citrusy with a kiss of fresh herbs and the sweetness of rum. A glass filled with ice and goodness.
Since I'm not a drinker, I decided to put a fresh, alcohol-free twist on the classic Mojito recipe. But you can make it with alcohol if you're not a teetotaler. I've included details on how to do this below. Mixing up a glass of these incredible drinks is as easy as can be. Just follow these basic steps and you'll have a cool, classy glass of Strawberry-Basil Mojito made fresh in your kitchen in no time at all!
Make a simple strawberry syrup. Drizzle a good portion of the syrup into the bottom of a large glass.
Add a BUNCH of finely-chopped ice on top of the strawberry syrup.
Pour in a drizzle of rum flavoring. Just a titch.
And a good squish of fresh lime juice goes in, as well.
Toss in some sliced strawberries and lots of fresh, chopped basil.
Stir everything together, then add sparkling water or club soda to top off the glass.
What are you waiting for?! Grab a straw and drink that mojito right on up!
