Looking for a yummy dessert? Enjoy these sugar cone trees decorated with frosting – a delicious treat.

Ingredients

Green food color, if desired
1
(16-oz.) can vanilla ready-to-spread frosting
8
flat-bottom ice-cream cones
8
sugar cones
Assorted small candies

Directions

  • 1 Stir green food color into frosting until well blended. Frost top rim of flat-bottom cones.
  • 2 To form each tree shape, place open end of 1 sugar cone over frosted rim of 1 flat-bottom cone, standing each on flat end. Let stand 1 hour or until frosting is firm.
  • 3 Frost outer surface of sugar cones with green frosting. Decorate as desired with candies.
Tips

Some youngsters may lack the patience to wait until the frosting becomes firm. To avoid an endless stream of "Are they done yet?" questions, attach the sugar cones to the flat-bottom cones about an hour before you plan to involve the kids with the decorating.
