It's like a garden in sandwich form -- fresh, crisp and unbelievably delish on a bed of fresh French bread that makes your mouth water.
The bounty of your hard work is already bearing its fruits. Summer vegetables are likely coming out of your baskets, bushels, and refrigerator drawers. Holy Hannah. What to do with it all?
Try this Summer Garden Sandwich
-- an incredible, simple loaf of fresh Pillsbury Simply®...
Rustic French bread made into the ultimate summer BLT with a twist!
You'll find the recipe below, but here's how you make up one of these incredible, fresh meals.
Toss a bit of Gouda cheese and pesto on a plastic plate. Microwave until melty. Slap that stuff on top of a fresh loaf of Pillsbury French bread. Scoop a bunch of lemon-kissed mayonnaise onto the other side of the bread.
Top your cheesy layer with a bunch of heirloom tomatoes. Finger licking encouraged.
Mound on thinly sliced cucumbers. Lots of them.
Slap thick-sliced bacon on top. This is getting good, isn't it?
Top your sandwich with another slice of bread. Smoosh it together ever so slighty. Squoosh.
Eat and enjoy.
