Super Easy Butter-Pecan Cookies

Yes, you read butter-pecan. And cookies. And super easy.

Ingredients

1/2
cup Betty Crocker™ Whipped vanilla frosting
1
tablespoons melted butter
1/2
cup chopped or halved pecans
1
(16.5 ounce) tube Pillsbury™ refrigerated sugar cookies, cut into about 15 slices

Directions

  • 1 Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • 2 Press out the cookies (with your fingers or a buttered glass) until they're as flat as you prefer. You can skip this step as well.
  • 3 Place the pecans on the top of the cookies. Brush with melted butter, and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until slightly brown on the edges. Let sit 2 minutes.
  • 4 In the meantime, warm the frosting for about 10 seconds in the microwave. Using a squirt bottle, drizzle the frosting over the cookies.
  • 5 Serve immediately!

OMG.

These cookies.

Butter.

Sugar.

Pecans.

A frosting drizzle.

Twins in my belly protesting in unruly rage until they each receive one.

HEY I HAD NO CHOICE.

Let's do this.

Chop the pecans.

Start by chopping up some pecans! Or you could leave them in half pieces. Yo' choice.

Pillsbury Sugar Cookie dough.

Then open up a super simple tube of Pillsbury sugar cookies.

Slice the cookie dough.

Slice 'em up.

Press the cookies.

Now, you can do two things You can either press them out super flat with your fingers, or a buttered glass. (My glass kept sticking to the cookies, so I just used my fingers.) OR you can skip this step and just let them be.

Place pecan halves on the cookies.

Then place the pecan halves or chunks on the tops of the cookies.

Brush with butter.

Theeeeen brush with the nectar of the gods. Butter.

Warm vanilla frosting in the microwave.

While the cookies bake, warm up just a little bit of some vanilla frosting! Just 10 seconds in the microwave. Then pour it into a small squirt bottle for some drizzle action.

Baked cookies drizzled with frosting.

OMG.

Baked Butter Pecan Cookies.
