Ready in only 35 minutes, our tamale cups are made with shredded beef, Old El Paso taco seasoning and taco sauce. Make in muffin cups for individual servings.

Ingredients

3
cups instant masa harina flour
1 1/2
cups warm water
3
cups leftover shredded cooked beef
2
tablespoons Old El Paso™ taco seasoning mix
2
tablespoons Old El Paso™ taco sauce
2
tablespoons crumbled queso fresco cheese
1
tablespoon coarsely chopped fresh cilantro leaves

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 12 regular-size muffin cups with cooking spray.
  • 2 In medium bowl, stir together flour and water until a dough ball forms, kneading dough if necessary. Divide dough into 12 pieces; shape each into a ball. Place 1 ball in each muffin cup. Press dough in bottom and up side of each cup.
  • 3 In another medium bowl, mix cooked beef, taco seasoning mix and taco sauce. Divide beef mixture evenly into dough-lined cups.
  • 4 Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until crust cups are thoroughly baked.
  • 5 Top each tamale cup with cheese and cilantro before serving.
Tips

Recipe can be easily doubled or tripled.

If you’d like to add a kick, add a few shakes of hot sauce to your beef mixture.
