  • 1  egg, beaten
  • 1  cup Martha White® Self-Rising Corn Meal Mix
  • 1  (8.5-oz.) can cream style corn
  • 1/2  cup milk
  • 2  tablespoons oil or melted shortening
  • 1  teaspoon sugar
  • 4  oz. (1 cup) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 2  tablespoons chopped jalapeño chiles or green chiles

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 450°F. Grease 8-inch square pan. In large bowl, combine all ingredients; mix well. Pour batter into greased pan.

  2. Bake at 450°F. for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Serve warm.
