Serve your family these hearty slow-cooked tortilla sandwiches flavored with taco seasoning mix topped by lettuce and cheese. A perfect Mexican dinner.

Ingredients

lb turkey breast tenderloins
1/4
teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4
teaspoon pepper

medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
1/3
cup water
2
packages (1.25 oz each) taco seasoning mix
16
flour tortillas (8 to 10 inch)

cups bite-sized pieces lettuce
2
cups shredded Cheddar cheese (8 oz)

Directions

  • 1 In 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker, place turkey breast tenderloins. Sprinkle with seasoned salt and pepper. Add onion and water.
  • 2 Cover; cook on Low heat setting 6 to 7 hours.
  • 3 Remove turkey from slow cooker; place on cutting board. Shred turkey with 2 forks. Measure liquid from slow cooker; add enough water to liquid to measure 2 cups. Return liquid to slow cooker. Add taco seasoning mix; mix well. Stir in shredded turkey. Cover; cook on Low heat setting 1 hour longer.
  • 4 To serve spoon about 1/4 cup turkey onto center of each tortilla. Top each with lettuce and cheese; roll up.
Tips  

If you're making these wraps to go, pack the lettuce, tortillas and cheese in separate containers and take the turkey in the slow cooker. If there's electricity at the site, plug in the cooker and set it on Low; otherwise, serve the sandwiches within an hour.
