Ingredients

cup packed brown sugar
1/4
cup butter
2
tablespoons water
1
egg yolk, slightly beaten
3/4
cup pecans, toasted and chopped

Directions

  • 1 Heat brown sugar, butter and water in 1-quart saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually stir at least half of the hot mixture into egg yolk. Blend into remaining hot mixture in pan and boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Cool to room temperature. Stir in pecans.
