Tips & Techniques

  • High Altitude (3500-6500 ft)

No changes--except makes about 16 pancakes.

  • Special Touch

Take a break from maple syrup, and spread pancakes with a favorite jam or jelly.

  • Success

For uniformly shaped pancakes, pour the batter from an ice-cream scoop or 1/4-cup measure.

  • How-To

To measure Bisquick, spoon it into a dry-ingredient measuring cup, then level the top with a metal spatula.

  • Planned-Overs

Leftover pancakes can be wrapped tightly and frozen. Pop unwrapped cakes in the toaster for breakfast in a flash.

Ingredients

  • 2  cups Original Bisquick® mix
  • 1  cup milk
  • 2  tablespoons sugar
  • 1  teaspoon vanilla
  • 2  eggs

Directions

  1. 1Heat griddle or skillet over medium-high heat or electric griddle to 375ºF; grease with cooking spray, vegetable oil or shortening. (Surface is ready when a few drops of water sprinkled on it dance and disappear.)
  2. 2In medium bowl, stir ingredients until blended. For each pancake, pour slightly less than 1/4 cup batter onto hot griddle.
  3. 3Cook until edges are dry. Turn; cook other side until golden brown.
