2
(3.2-oz.) frozen all vegetable protein patties
2
burger buns, split, toasted
1/4
cup purchased spinach dip
1/2
medium tomato, thinly sliced
2
leaves leaf lettuce

Directions

  • 1 Prepare patties as directed on package.
  • 2 Spread cut sides of toasted buns with spinach dip. Place burgers, tomato and lettuce in buns.
Tips

Some meatless burgers are made from textured vegetable protein shaped to resemble beef patties. Others are made from vegetables and grains. And some veggie burgers contain cheese, milk or eggs. Look for meatless burgers in the freezer section of the grocery store or co-op.

To easily toast burger buns, place them on a broiler pan during the last 1 to 2 minutes of the veggie burgers’ broiling time.

Textured vegetable protein patties provide an excellent source of protein with significantly less fat, saturated fat and cholesterol than ground beef.
