Packed with heart-healthy nuts and nutrient-rich fruits and veggies, this low-fat salad is a treat!

Ingredients

cup fat-free mayonnaise or salad dressing
1/4
cup plain fat-free yogurt

tablespoon lemon juice

tablespoon fat-free (skim) milk

medium unpeeled red eating apples, coarsely chopped (2 cups)
2
medium celery stalks, chopped (1 cup)
2
tablespoons coarsely chopped nuts
Salad greens, if desired

Directions

  • 1 Mix mayonnaise, yogurt, lemon juice and milk in medium bowl.
  • 2 Stir in apples, celery and nuts. Serve on salad greens. Cover and refrigerate any remaining salad.
Tips  

Hollow out round dinner rolls and fill with this flavor-rich salad for the ultimate in taste and texture contrast. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley for a pretty presentation.
