Dinner ready in 35 minutes! Enjoy this warm beef and veggie salad served with sesame dressing – a heaping meal.

Ingredients

Dressing

tablespoons soy sauce

tablespoons sesame oil

tablespoon rice wine vinegar

teaspoon grated gingerroot

garlic clove, minced
1/8
teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, if desired

Salad

1
lb. boneless beef top sirloin steak (3/4 inch thick)
1/2
to 1 teaspoon garlic salt
1
(1-lb.) bag frozen broccoli, carrots and water chestnuts

cups shredded Chinese (napa) cabbage or lettuce

Garnish

tablespoons sesame seed, toasted*
1/4
cup thinly sliced green onions

Directions

  • 1 In small bowl, combine all dressing ingredients; blend well.
  • 2 Sprinkle steak with garlic salt. Place on broiler pan. Broil 4 to 6 inches from heat for 12 to 16 minutes or until of desired doneness, turning once.
  • 3 Meanwhile, prepare frozen vegetables according to package directions; drain. Line large serving platter with cabbage.
  • 4 Cut steak diagonally into 2x1/4-inch slices. In large bowl, combine steak and vegetables. Pour dressing over steak and vegetables; toss to combine. Spoon mixture over cabbage; sprinkle with sesame seed and onions.
Tips  

* To toast sesame seed, spread in baking pan; bake at 375°F. for 3 to 5 minutes or until light golden brown, stirring occasionally. Or, spread in small skillet; stir over medium heat for about 5 minutes or until light golden brown.
