Add these tasty appetizers to family’s meal. Serve tasty watercress triangles that are ready in 15 minutes.

Ingredients

1/4
cup reduced-calorie mayonnaise
2
tablespoons low-fat plain yogurt
1/2
cup coarsely chopped watercress
Dash celery salt or salt
Dash white pepper

thin slices whole wheat sandwich bread

thin cucumber slices, halved
Watercress leaves

Directions

  • 1 In small bowl, combine mayonnaise, yogurt, chopped watercress, celery salt and pepper; mix well. Trim crusts from bread slices.
  • 2 Spread each bread slice with about 1 tablespoon watercress mixture. Cut to form 4 triangles; top each triangle with 2 cucumber halves. Garnish with watercress leaves. Serve immediately or refrigerate until serving time.
Tips  

Watercress is a member of the mustard family with a lively, peppery taste.

Store the edible stems and leaves by wrapping in damp paper towels and refrigerating in a plastic bag for 1 to 2 days.
