    Ingredients

    • 1/4 cup lemon juice
    • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
    • 3/4 cup brown sugar
    • 4 peeled, cored and cubed Golden Delicious apples
    • 4 peeled, cored and cubed Bosc pears
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Directions

    1. 1Peel, core and rough chop 4 pears and 4 apples. Then drop into your slow cooker.
    2. 2Then add lemon juice, vanilla extract, brown sugar and pumpkin spice.
    3. 3Cook on Low for 8 hours. Once cooked, mash the mixture with your potato masher. It'ss okay if there are lumps; the lumps are the best part.
    4. 4Store in an air tight container in your refrigerator. I use the large Ovaltine Jars.
