White Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

White chocolate peanut-butter cups decorated with patriotic sprinkles!

Ingredients

1/2
cup creamy peanut butter
1/2
cup powdered sugar
2
cups white chocolate chips
Red, white and blue jimmies

Directions

  • 1 Line a mini muffin tin with mini cupcake wrappers.
  • 2 Place the peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds. Stir and continue to heat in 30 second intervals until melted completely.
  • 3 Sift the powdered sugar into the bowl of peanut butter. Mix the peanut butter and sifted powdered sugar together until thoroughly combined.
  • 4 Using a teaspoon, measure out the peanut butter filling into 20 equal portions and roll into 20 balls.
  • 5 Gently press down on the peanut butter balls to flatten them.
  • 6 Microwave the white chocolate chips for 30 seconds. Stir and continue to heat in 15 second intervals until the white chocolate is smooth. (Note: Make sure your bowl and spoon are completely dry. Any wetness will cause the chocolate to seize.)
  • 7 Fill each mini cupcake wrapper with 1 teaspoon of melted white chocolate. Place the peanut butter ball on top of the chocolate. Top with 2 additional teaspoons of melted white chocolate.
  • 8 Immediately sprinkle red, white and blue jimmies on top. Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to set.

Celebrate America with red, white and blue candy!

As prepared by Party Pinching,

These peanut butter cups are patriotic and taste great too.

My favorite candy happens to be the peanut butter cup—I love to make my own and star spangle them up for the 4th of July. They’re so easy to make because there are just four ingredients. Soon you’ll have a sweet little treat exploding with peanut butter goodness for your festivities!

Here’s how to make these cute little bites of deliciousness…

White Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

Grab your peanut butter, powdered sugar, white chocolate chips and sprinkles. Yeah, really, that’s it!

White Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

Line your mini muffin tins with cute cupcake wrappers. I used red, white and blue ones.

Microwave you peanut butter for 30 seconds. Stir and heat again for 15 seconds at a time if needed. My microwave is a high watt torch so it only took me 30 seconds. Seriously, my microwave is so powerful that when I turn it on, it knocks the kids off of their video games!

Now sift the powdered sugar on top of the melted peanut butter. Stir until the peanut butter and powdered sugar are combined.

Now roll em’ up—about a teaspoon for each peanut butter ball. Flatten them a little so they fit nicely into the muffin tin.

Melt the white chocolate in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir and heat again for 15 seconds until it’s nice and smooth with no lumps. Fill the cupcake liners with a teaspoon of melted white chocolate.
