These peanut butter cups are patriotic and taste great too.
My favorite candy happens to be the peanut butter cup—I love to make my own and star spangle them up for the 4th of July. They’re so easy to make because there are just four ingredients. Soon you’ll have a sweet little treat exploding with peanut butter goodness for your festivities!
Here’s how to make these cute little bites of deliciousness…
Grab your peanut butter, powdered sugar, white chocolate chips and sprinkles. Yeah, really, that’s it!
Line your mini muffin tins with cute cupcake wrappers. I used red, white and blue ones.
Microwave you peanut butter for 30 seconds. Stir and heat again for 15 seconds at a time if needed. My microwave is a high watt torch so it only took me 30 seconds. Seriously, my microwave is so powerful that when I turn it on, it knocks the kids off of their video games!
Now sift the powdered sugar on top of the melted peanut butter. Stir until the peanut butter and powdered sugar are combined.
Now roll em’ up—about a teaspoon for each peanut butter ball. Flatten them a little so they fit nicely into the muffin tin.
Melt the white chocolate in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir and heat again for 15 seconds until it’s nice and smooth with no lumps. Fill the cupcake liners with a teaspoon of melted white chocolate.
Now put the peanut butter balls on top.
Cover the peanut butter balls up with more melted chocolate. Then prettify them with red, white and blue jimmies and let them chill in the fridge for a half an hour.
Everyone at your 4th of July party with think these are the bomb!
