Here’s a very basic summertime recipe that everyone NEEDS to now how to do: simple grilled asparagus.
I know that a lot of people make their asparagus in the oven (or the microwave), but during the summer months my very favorite method of cooking asparagus is to grill it.
Grilling asparagus gives it such nice flavor and the perfect amount of crunch. I LOVE IT!
All right, so here’s exactly how I like to grill my asparagus.
Grab your ingredients: about 1 pound asparagus, 2 tablespoons olive oil, salt and pepper.
Heat your grill to medium-high heat.
Wash the asparagus and then trim off about 3/4 inch from the ends.
Place the trimmed asparagus on a platter and toss with 2 tablespoons olive oil and a good pinch of salt and pepper.
When the grill is hot, add the asparagus in a single layer. Grill for 4-5 minutes, turning once.
Remove from the grill.
Serve warm with your favorite meal! My family loves pairing grilled asparagus with steak and chicken.
