Party - Winter Luau
Host a luau complete with summertime drinks and Pacific-perfect party food—and don’t forget a little floor space to get your hula on! MORE+ LESS-

Some would all it "mid-winter." We call it “meh-winter.” A change of season is in order, and if Mother Nature isn’t going to serve one up, it’s on you.

Dust off your board shorts, track down last year’s bikini top or a few leis, and get the crew over to hang ten, Hawaiian style. Host a luau complete with summertime drinks and Pacific-perfect party food—and don’t forget a little floor space to get your hula on!

1. Pineapple Flowers

Unbelievably gorgeous. And totally homemade. Nobody will believe you made these foodie flowers yourself—and they’ll be twice as impressed when they get to eat them, too.

2. Edible Flower Ice Cubes

Go full-bore (or should we say “full-blossom”) with the flower theme by making these colorful frozen bouquets. They add a little flavor to your beverages, and a lot of wow to your party.

3. Hawaiian Chicken Drummies

Pineapple is an amazing mix of citrus brightness and exotic flavor—and on chicken, it’s like your favorite wings flew off for a beach vacation and took you along for the ride. Seriously, so yum.

4. Ultimate Summer Picnic Punch

Light fruity punch = instant party. Light fruity punch in a watermelon half-shell = instant party legend.

5. 3-Ingredient Pulled Pork

All the best luaus serve a delectable, tender pork entrée. This pulled-pork recipe has a secret ingredient—dying to know what it is? Click on through, friend. Mind: blown.

6. Slow-Cooker Barbecued Ribs

These ribs alone are a reason to throw a party. Any excuse to make a mega-batch of tender, fall-off-the-bone ribs. Pure tastebud nuclear reaction. It’s like the saying: Eat ribs like nobody’s watching.

7. Strawberry Shortcake Kabobs

You know how sometimes when you make strawberry shortcake, and you work soooo hard to get the perfect ratio of whipped cream, cake and strawberry in each bite? These skewers do the work for you.

8. Little Pineapple Upside-Down Cakes

We like to think of these as portion no-control. Because why would you hold back when you have your very own personal-sized pineapple flippy-cake? Skip the fork and beast it.

9. Fishbowl Punch

The vibe is total tiki bar, complete with sugary gummy fishies swimming in the tropical blue punch. It might make you think skinnydipping in March is a great idea.

10. Greek Yogurt Coconut Tropical Fruit Dip

Time for a little fruit-on-fruit action. Coconut and pineapple with a hit of chocolate, here to take your dessert skewers to an unbelievable new level.

11. Strawberry-Coconut Coladarita

Yes, they could have been named Margaradas but then we would have prevented you from the pure joy of saying "Coladarita." Co-la-da-ri-ta. Your new favorite word, and soon to be your new favorite drink.

12. Mini Fruit Pizzas with Stacked Fruit Flowers

They’re food. They’re art. They’re delicious.

13. Watermelon Daiquiri Freezer Pops

The slight risk of a popsicle headache is far outweighed by the icy-cold delight that only rum-laden fruit can deliver. Agreed? Agreed.

14. Baked Coconut Shrimp

The spotlight, the centerpiece, the party pièce de résistance. Homemade coconut shrimp is about as special-occasion as it gets. And aloha: spicy pineapple dipping sauce.

15. Banana Cream Jelly Shots

Monkeyshines are guaranteed after a few of these boozy bananas, rich with cream and spiced up with rum.

16. Ocean Margarita Jelly Shots

It’s a tequila shot, delivered in a true-blue cube. The color of pristine Pacific waters, topped with a sweet hit of sparkling sugar. They go down so easy—almost too easy.

17. Bacon, Pineapple, Chicken Kabobs

Seriously, this is an entire luau skewered onto one easy-to-serve stick. Pineapple (a must), chicken (sinful with a sweet glaze), and a hit of bacon. Ah-maz-ing.

18. Long Island Iced Tea Fruit Pops

Sorry, kids, these frozen treats are 21+, with a heady mix of (ready?) rum, vodka, bourbon and tequila. Just like a real Long Island Iced Tea, but so much cooler.

19. Slow-Cooker Kalua Pork Sandwiches

Here’s the secret to these ultra-tender pulled-pork sandwiches: 14 hours of you going about your business, while your slow cooker nudges the meat to smoky perfection.

20. Hawaiian Pizza Dip

Love the sweet/zesty zip of a Hawaiian pizza? Serve up that tropical flavor one chip at a time in this easy dip. Hint: tastes even better if you’re wearing a lei and a straw skirt. Over your snowsuit.
