Expert Tips

  • This flavor-packed dish takes its inspiration from the Indonesian specialty called satay-skewers of marinated meat, poultry or fish usually served with peanut sauce.
  • You can cut up the chicken, mushrooms and green onions several hours in advance; wrap them separately in plastic and refrigerate until cooking time.
  • Serve the kabobs with steamed green beans, rice pilaf and sliced tomatoes sprinkled with minced chives.
