Trim off large leaves; remove tough ends of lower stems. Wash broccoli; peel if desired. For spears, cut lenghtwise into 1/2-inch-wide stalks. For pieces, cut stalks crosswise into 1-inch pieces. Cook broccoli as desired. Squeeze juice from lemon over broccoli.
<B>Cooking Guide for Broccoli</B><BR><BR>
<B>To Boil:</B> Heat 1 inch water (salted if desired) to boiling in saucepan; add broccoli. Heat to boiling; reduce heat to low. Boil gently about 10 minutes for 1 1/2 pounds broccoli or until tender; drain.
<B>To Microwave:</B> Place in microwavable container with water (1 cup per 1 1/2 pounds broccoli.) Cover and microwave on High or until crisp-tender; drain.
<B>To Steam:</B> Place steamer basket in 1/2 inch water in saucepan or skillet (water should not touch bottom of basket). Place broccoli in steamer basket. Cover tightly and heat to boiling; reduce heat to low. Steam about 10 minutes for 1 1/2 pounds or until crisp-tender.
