Burger Bowl Potato Pie

Ingredients

package Betty Crocker™ butter & herb mashed potatoes
1
pound lean ground beef

egg

tablespoons water
1 1/2
cups hot water

tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2
cup milk
1/4
cup butter or margarine, melted
1/4
cup grated Parmesan cheese

    Heat oven to 375ºF. Shake 1 packet Potatoes and Seasoning. Measure 1/2 cup from the packet into ungreased pie plate, 10x1 1/2 inches; reserve remaining potatoes for step 3. Stir beef, egg and 2 tablespoons water into potatoes in pie plate. Pat evenly in bottom and up side of pie plate. Bake 20 minutes; drain.

    Stir together 1 1/2 cups hot water and 2 tablespoons butter until butter is melted. Stir in milk and second packet Potatoes and Seasoning. Spoon into pie plate; spread evenly.

    Stir together 1/4 cup melted butter, the Parmesan cheese and reserved potatoes (dry). Sprinkle over top. Bake uncovered 10 minutes.

Expert Tips

  • Serve this delicious golden brown pie with green beans and red apple slices drizzled with a little ranch or blue cheese dressing.
  • If you don’t have a 10-inch pie plate, you can use a 9-inch square baking dish.
