I was trying to get some ideas for some cute cookies for a Hanukkah celebration and came across these adorable cats all dressed up for the holiday. I totally fell in love with them and thought they were the cutest things ever. Betty Crocker™ sugar cookie mix is dairy kosher and makes these cookies easy to prep! A fun and sweet spin on sugar cookies for your Hanukkah celebration!

Ingredients

  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1 tablespoon flour (for cookie mix)
  • 1 egg (for cookie mix)
  • 1/3 cup butter, softened but not melted (for cookie mix)
  • 1 tub (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Fluffy White Frosting
  • Blue sugar sprinkles
  • 48 candy eyes
  • 24 blue confetti sprinkles
  • 24 Star of David sugar decorations
  • Black edible marker

Instructions

  • Step

    Preheat oven to 375° F. Prepare cookie mix according to package instructions.

    Roll dough and cut out into circle shapes using circle cookie cutter. For the ears, use the tip of a star cookie cutter or simply cut small triangles out of the dough.

    Gently press the triangles to the top of the dough circle. Bake 7-9 minutes. Cool cookies completely before decorating.

    Frost 1/3 of the top of the cookie with the fluffy white frosting. Immediately cover frosting with blue sugar sprinkles for the yamaka.

    Attach 2 candy eyes and the blue confetti nose to the top of the cookie using the white frosting.

    Draw on the mouth and whiskers using the black edible marker.
  • Step

    Using the white frosting, secure the sugar Star of David to the middle of the yamaka.
