Ingredients

pouch Betty Crocker™ chocolate chip cookie mix

tablespoons margarine or butter, softened
1/4
cup creamy peanut butter

egg

    Heat oven to 350ºF. Stir cookie mix, margarine, peanut butter and egg in medium bowl with spoon (mixture will be crumbly until soft dough forms).

    Spread dough in ungreased square pan, 8x8x2 inches.

    Bake 25 to 28 minutes or until light golden brown; cool. For 18 bars, cut into 6 rows by 3 rows.

So quick to make, they're also great to take! Wrap 'em and stack 'em for travel snacks and picnics.

If cookie mix has been stored above 85°F, refrigerate the package 1 hour before mixing to keep the chocolate chips from softening during preparation.

Measuring margarine is easy! Use the marked wrapper to cut off the number of tablespoons of margarine needed.
