Ingredients

lb. beef flank steak
3/4
cup dry red wine

tablespoons sesame oil
2
teaspoons grated gingerroot
1/8
teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

garlic cloves, minced

    Score steak diagonally across grain on both sides, forming diamond pattern. In shallow dish or resealable plastic food storage bag, combine wine, oil, gingerroot, pepper and garlic; mix well. Add steak; turn to coat. Let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes to marinate, or refrigerate several hours or overnight.

    Spray broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray. Remove steak from marinade; place steak on sprayed pan. Discard marinade.

    Broil 4 to 6 inches from heat for 10 to 15 minutes or until of desired doneness, turning once. Cut steak diagonally across grain into thin slices.
