Slow-Cooker Caramelized Onions

These no-fuss, no-muss caramelized onions couldn't be easier. MORE + LESS -

Ingredients

to 6 large yellow onions, peeled and cut in large slices
1/2
cup butter, cut into tablespoon-size pieces (do not use margarine )

    Place onions in 5- to 6-quart slow cooker.

    Top with butter.

    Cover; cook on High heat setting 9 to 10 hours or until onions are dark brown and caramelized.

Expert Tips

  • If desired, spray inside of slow cooker for easier cleanup.
  • Be sure to use 100% real butter and not butter blends or margarine.
