Taste for yourself the kind of wonders chives and Ranch dressing work on slow cooked and mashed red potatoes. They’re unbelievably creamy to boot.
To make 'em cheesy, fold in 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese after stirring in the half-and-half.
Try chopped fresh parsley instead of the chives.
These go nicely with sliced ham and steamed green beans.
Can't find potato topper? Use 8 oz sour cream and 1 teaspoon dried chives. Or you like, skip the chives and just add an additional tablespoon chopped green onion for Savory Ranch Smashed Potatoes.
