Jazzy Lime Bars

Pump up the color (and fun!) of a classic pie bar with the addition of vibrant lime all wrapped up in a Fruit Roll-Ups like a gift from the color fairy.

Ingredients

1
round Pillsbury™ Refrigerated Pie Crust
2/3
cup lime juice
3
eggs
1 1/4
cup sugar
1
tablespoon cornstarch
1/2
teaspoon sea salt
1
teaspoon Betty Crocker™ green decorating gel
1/4
cup powdered sugar
4
fruit roll-ups
2
tablespoons sugar

Directions

  • 1 Preheat oven to 400°F. Spray a 9x9 baking dish with nonstick baking spray. Press the pie dough into the bottom of the pan, folding over the edges and pressing them into the bottom of the pie crust to create a single, flat layer of pie dough.
  • 2 In a blender, puree the lime juice, eggs, sugar, cornstarch, sea salt, and green food coloring. Pour over pie crust.
  • 3 Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the center of the bars set. Remove and cool completely.
  • 4 Dust with powdered sugar before slicing into squares.
  • 5 Wrap 6-7 inch pieces of fruit roll-ups around each bar, pressing the bottom of each bar into the sugar to keep it from sticking to your serving plate.
  • 6 Serve and enjoy!

Lime Bars wtih Fruit Roll-Ups

A sweet and tangy filling sits on top of Pillsbury pie crust, and is finished off with serious flair with the colorful addition of a Fruit Roll-up wrapper. These lime bars are sure to steal the show like a Hollywood starlet.

To get a batch, just follow these supremely simple steps:

Grab a box of Pillsbury Pie Crust. You'll only need one of the two rounds for this recipe.

Pillsbury Refrigerated Pie Crusts

Spray a 9x9" cooking dish with nonstick baking spray (the sort with flour added to the mix) then press the pie crust into the dish. You'll have to fold over the edges slightly, just keep pressing the dough to create a single layer on the bottom of the dish.

Place Pie Dough in Pan

In a blender, mix the lime bar ingredients (check out the recipe below for all the details).

Blend Remaining Ingredients

Bake, cool and sprinkle with powdered sugarl Then wrap with colorful Fruit Rollups for that final "sparkle."
