20 Recipes for Mother’s Day Frunching
This Mother’s Day, try something a little different. Have your friends invite their moms to a big gathering of mom love and brunch! MORE+ LESS-

Can we all agree that moms are total bosses? They put up with us our whole lives, starting from the time they give us a life.

This Mother’s Day, try something a little different. Have your friends invite their moms to a big gathering of mom love and brunch! Or, if you are a mom, get all of your mom pals together for brunch, while dad takes the kids for the morning.

Either way, start a new tradition of good food, friends and motherly love all in one delicious place.

1. Best Vanilla Berry Waffles

Look at this thing! I mean, seriously. It’s basically the food version of a bright, spring day. I’d be happy to look at my birth certificate and see it signed by these waffles.

2. Pancake Breakfast Sandwiches

These breakfast sandwiches can be either sweet or salty, just like children. Mom will totally relate.

3. Blueberry Greek Yogurt Pancakes with Meyer Lemon Syrup

You may have seen in my 5 Super Spring Shower Trends that Custard is some of Pantone’s spring colors for 2015, along with Classic Blue. These pancakes are so on trend that they should have their own fashion blog.

4. Lemon Basil Shortbread Cookies With Edible Garnishes

These are the type of cookies that I imagined being served at all my tea parties as a kid. Now that I’m a grown up and allowed to use the oven whenever I choose, it’s time to make these dream cookies a reality.

5. Edible Flower Ice Cubes

This is basically an Instagram dream. People are going to think my life is so pretty! Oh yeah, that Accidentally Sexy chick only drinks water (read: vodka and soda) that has been chilled by actual flowers.

6. Mimosa

7. Fruity Spring Cocktail

Sometimes you want a little more than a mimosa, but less than a mai tai. This fun cocktail brings vodka into the mix within the pretty breakfast disguise of morning juices.

8. Pink Lemonade Cupcakes

Every summer as a kid, I tried to earn enough money selling lemonade to buy a pet monkey. Every summer, I think I sold about three glasses and drank the rest myself. Every summer, my mom let me believe I could do it. Every summer, I still believe that I can.

9. Spring Yogurt Tartlets

This is one of those great ways to say, “Hey Mom! I did it!” And for everyone to ooh and ahh. Only you have to know that it’s only two ingredients, one step and a garnish.

10. Mini Trifles In Jars

I want to serve these at a brunch just so that I can say, “You’re triflin’” to everybody. No one will laugh, but I’m going to say it to every single person for my own amusement.

11. Strawberry Spring Salad In A Woven Bread Bowl

Maybe you forgot to return mom’s call. Maybe you are hoping to ask mom to watch your dog for a month while you head to Europe to “find yourself”. Maybe you forgot to clean your room before she got there. Whatever your scenario, this salad says “Hey, look over here!!!” I mean, you wove together an edible basket for mom’s sake!

12. Springtime Ham And Egg Bake

This egg bake only takes 20 minutes of prep. It’s an easy way to wow and a fast way to work some protein into your brunch.

13. Easy Peachy DIY Fro Yo

This whole thing takes 5 minutes to put together and makes you look like some sort of wizard. When you’re entertaining a group, “easy” is a pretty important word.

14. Slow Cooker French Toast Casserole

I love a slow cooker recipe, because you can just throw everything together and forget about it. Or at least, you would forget about it – if it didn’t make your house smell like a candle!

15. Overnight Slow Cooker Muesli

This is an easy life hack to upgrade your boxed cereal. By throwing it in your slow cooker with some fresh ingredients, you can wake up the next morning to something a little more special.

16. Mexican Chocolate Chip-Oatmeal Scones

These scones give the pretty ordinary chocolate chip and oatmeal a little cayenne kick. Just like the kick in the pants that my mom gave me when I tried to quit on myself those thousands of times.

17. Strawberry Shortcake Kabobs

I grew up in Iowa, and if I learned one thing from summers at the state fair, it’s that any food on a stick is delicious. Some might say that strawberry shortcake doesn’t need a lot of help to be delicious. To those people, I say, eat it on a stick, cry as a whole new world opens up before you, and call your mom. Everyone wants to call their mom after a life-altering experience.

18. Meringue Fruit Cups

These meringue fruit cups are the best way to remind everyone that you’re the favorite child.

19. Strawberry Cream Cheese Mini Wraps

10 minutes of prep and four ingredients. #bye

20. Apple-Bacon Cheddar Mini Breakfast Pies

As I’ve said before, people lose their minds over bacon. I’m not a big fan of bacon, and that makes me so incredibly unpopular at parties. It’s like saying that I hate someone’s mom. But, I don’t hate your mom. I hate bacon. And chances are your mom likes it. So, in the spirit of a Mom Brunch, throw some bacon on that thang!
