More About This Recipe
  • Frozen yogurt pops with ruby-red poma seed jewels – a refreshingly beautiful treat!

Growing up, we had a huge pomegranate tree in our backyard. And when the fruit was in season, we would crack those babies open and eat what looked like edible jewels. I always was in awe of what beautiful fruit nature was capable of producing.

We're taking this edible bling and transforming it into a healthy and refreshing treat. This is not your typical frozen dessert full of sugary color. These Cherry Pomegranate Yogurt Pops are made from Cherry Pomegranate Greek Yogurt with fresh pomegranate seeds sprinkled throughout. Greek yogurt freezes wonderfully because of its silky texture and is a whole lot healthier.

Now that it's spring turning summer, most stores have busted out the warm weather stuff including freezer-pop molds, so grab some of those and let’s go!

Our pops are going to have three layers:

    First, pomegranate seeds.

Then Greek yogurt with pomegranate seeds mixed in.

And finally, a layer of more pomegranate seeds.

Put them in the freezer until they're nice and firm.

Look at all of these beautiful layers with the colorful pops of ruby-red pomegranate peeking through.

Pomegranate is known to be a superfood, and after eating one of these pops loaded with the fruit, you just might be able to conquer the world.
