Mac and cheese gets elevated to the next delicious level with this creamy one-pan version, enhanced with apple butter and bacon.
To make this a completely one-pan meal, you can cook the bacon in the skillet prior to making the pasta. Just be sure to drain the fat and wipe the skillet clean before adding the pasta and milk.
Feel free to play around with the cheese varieties: Use more gouda than white cheddar, or vice versa, etc.
