Ingredients

  • 1 (12.8) box Rice Chex™
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 24 mini caramel-and-peanut candy bars, diced

Steps

    In a large microwave-safe glass bowl, combine butter, brown sugar and corn syrup.

    Microwave for 1 minute on high, then stir. Return to microwave for 3 minutes more, stir. Return to microwave for 2 minutes more, then remove from microwave and stir in half of the candy bars. Stir in Chex™ cereal, coating well with the caramel.

    As the mixture begins to cool (about 7-10 minutes), toss in remaining candy bars. Serve and enjoy!

Expert Tips

  • tip 1
    If you’d prefer to make this mix on the stovetop, simply melt together butter, brown sugar and corn syrup in a large pot until hard ball stage (about 250-268°F). Stir in half of the candy bars, and continue the recipe from there.
