Tacoloaf Dinner

Ingredients

(15-oz.) cans spicy chili beans, undrained
1
(11-oz.) can whole kernel sweet corn, undrained
1 1/2
lb. lean ground beef

cup crushed corn chips
1/3
cup Old El Paso™ Salsa

(1-oz.) pkg. Old El Paso™ Taco Seasoning Mix

egg, slightly beaten
1/4
cup Old El Paso™ Salsa

    In 3 1/2 to 4-quart slow cooker, combine beans and corn; mix well.

    In large bowl, combine ground beef, corn chips, 1/3 cup salsa, taco seasoning mix and egg; mix well. Shape mixture into flat round loaf. Place loaf in slow cooker over bean mixture. Top with 1/4 cup salsa.

    Cover; cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hours.

    To serve, place tacoloaf on serving platter; cut into wedges. With slotted spoon, place bean mixture in serving bowl. If desired, remaining sauce in slow cooker can be spooned over tacoloaf wedges.

Expert Tips

  • This recipe was tested in slow cookers with heating elements in the side and bottom of the cooker, not in cookers that stand only on a heated base. For slow cookers with just a heated base, follow the manufacturer’s directions for layering ingredients and choosing a temperature.
