Double your luck at the end of these rainbows…the “pot of gold” is actually filled with Lucky Charms cereal!
There are so many cool St. Patrick’s Day ideas out there but we couldn’t resist adding another fun treat to the mix. We usually have Lucky Charms on hand at our house but I ALWAYS make sure we have a box for St. Paddy’s Day breakfast. You can use the rest to make these easy treats!
Start by whipping up some basic marshmallow treats using your Lucky Charms. They’re a snap to make in the microwave! Use a circular cookie cutter or a drinking glass to cut them into small circles.
Now for the GOLD! I used Betty Crocker Vanilla Frosting tinted with yellow food coloring -- quick and easy.
Cover each treat with the icing….a few of the treats may have disappeared at this point. We couldn’t resist!
Next, add gold sprinkles, if desired. Then, get out your snack size licorice twists (we used strawberry blast flavor). Dip each end in the frosting and place on top of your treats.
The girls wanted to add a pinch more luck o’ the Irish, so we used green candy melts to draw little shamrocks on wax paper. When set, we placed them on the treats!
