Be Tempted: Apple Jelly Shots

As prepared by Table for Two Blog

Fall is coming! Fall is coming! Who else is excited that it’s finally apple season?

Celebrate fall with Apple Slice Jelly Shots. They are perfect for a party. You prep them the day before and slice them up before your guests arrive. I guarantee you, everyone will wonder how you got the jelly in between the slices. Aren’t you the creative one?

You’ll want to send them to the recipe below cause these are definitely a great way to get your fruit and drink in at the same time!

Let's begin...

Apple Jelly Shots

Here’s what you’ll need to make these easy party treats! If you plan to make them boozy, don't forget the vodka.

Apple Jelly Shots

You’ll want to start by sprinkling the unflavored gelatin over apple cider in a small sauce pot. Don’t mix it yet! You want it to sit on top of the cider to stabilize for 5 minutes.

Apple Jelly Shots

While you’re waiting for the gelatin to stabilize, squeeze out the juice of two lemons into a bowl and set aside.

Apple Jelly Shots

Cut your apples in half.

Apple Jelly Shots

Core out the flesh of the apples, so they’re like little cups. Take a pastry brush and brush the lemon juice all over the apple flesh. This reduces browning. Then place the apple cups on a rimmed baking sheet. Now you can go stir the gelatin and turn on the heat to low. Mix until the gelatin mixture has dissolved. At this point, you can add the optional vodka!

Apple Jelly Shots

Remove from heat and pour into your little apple cups.

Place the baking sheet with the apple cups in the fridge and let set overnight.

Once set, slice into wedges and serve!
