Who doesn't love snickerdoodle cookies? These are stuffed with gooey caramel. Sooo irresistible!
Snickerdoodles are a favorite in our home this time of year. And this year, instead of the traditional cookie, weʼre giving it an easy and gooey twist by adding a caramel square inside every center!
What is it with stuffing things this time of year? Stuffed turkeys, stuffed potatoes and now stuffed cookies?! I guess a little “stuffing” makes everything taste better, especially when caramel is involved! The sweet gooeyness pours out of the center when the cookies are warm, and theyʼre beyond incredible.
You can also garnish them with a dash of sea salt... because who doesn't love salted caramel?
To start, follow the directions on the package of Betty Crocker Snickerdoodle Cookie mix.
Using a cookie scooper, scoop one ball of dough.
Add a caramel square in the center of the dough ball.
Then roll the dough back into a ball, covering the caramel.
Swirl the dough ball around in a dish of the cinnamon and sugar mixture that comes inside the box of cookie mix. (How easy is THAT?!)
Place cookies on a cookie sheet with tinfoil or parchment paper.
Itʼs best to give the cookies some space to spread out, so baking 9 at a time works well. Bake them for 10-11 minutes.
Enjoy them warm, when the caramel is gooey!
